Come and meet Lara of Darling & Wild…
Growing up in the wilds of North Wales and Shropshire and with a love of anything quirky (current obsessions: taxidermy, collage) my style is as nature intended – brimming with contrasts and textures. I love the softness of moss, lichen-covered twigs, sculptural seedheads, delicate blossom, textural succulents and air plants. I am now growing flowers and never ceased to be amazed at what a tiny seed can produce. Home grown flowers have a character and beauty that is second to none and most defined add to the uniqueness of every bouquet and arrangement.
I am passionate about flowers, their colours and their movement. A born forager and hoarder, my approach is naturalistic, focusing on enhancing the natural wild beauty of every flower.
My heart rules my head and I’d rather use fewer exquisite flowers than more of the less pretty.
I confess to not being a fan of Gerbera and dread the Martini vase (unless filled with gin – with a twist of lemon, or olive if you will).
